The Claresholm branch of the Royal Canadian Legion’s annual poppy campaign began on Friday, Oct. 27, with the first poppy. Aftermath – Firefighters from three fire departments – Claresholm, Granum, and Fort Macleod – battled a house fire blaze in Granum from 1 a.m. until morning on Oct. 22. Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution, there were no reports of injuries as a result of the fire, and at this time police and fire officials are investigating the cause. … Read more…
